The “Mensch, Otto” programme featuring Gunther Holtorf the globetrotter will be broadcast on Monday 3 November 2014 from 19.00 to 20.00 on the Bayern 3 channel.
On television: Gunther Holtorf is a guest on the evening programme of the Bayerische Rundfunk channel. From 18.00 today.
In the museum: Otto has a new home.
At a ceremony in the Daimler museum in Stuttgart on Saturday 11 October 2014, the keys to Otto, the world-record-breaking blue off-roader owned by Gunther Holtorf, were handed over to the Daimler chairman Dieter Zetsche. The car will be on display there for the next few months, before going on tour to locations outside Germany.
At the destination: Otto arrives at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
At around 11.00 on 8 October, Gunther Holtorf brought his record journey to all the countries in the world that are accessible by car to a symbolic end at the Brandenburg Gate. “This gate, which at the start of my journey was impassable, is the best possible place to end a journey that crossed so many borders,” says Holtorf.
